Dining at Taupo’s only Riverside Restaurant
Nestled on the banks of the Waikato River you’ll find the Huka Prawn Park Restaurant, Taupo’s only riverside restaurant. You can enjoy alfresco dining or find a spot inside beside the open fire all while enjoying views over the aqua marine waters of the mighty Waikato River.
Our menu is unique to us, serving giant freshwater Prawns exclusively available at Huka Prawn Park, whether you order them up by the kilogram tossed in garlic butter, warm up with a curry or enjoy them lightly battered with a crisp cider or local craft beer to match you’ll enjoy a feast like no other.
Not a fan of prawns, not to fear we have a range of options for everyone as well as sweet treats, coffee and a special kids menu with free keep cup.
Our large open plan restaurant and alfresco dining area can seat over 200 people so you’re welcome as a couple or bring all the extended family and friends. We have plenty of space for the kids to play both inside and outside.
Pop on in for lunch or a snack be it before or after you’ve explored the fun park or just to come dine with us.
Our Riverside Restaurant is by walk in only and we do not take bookings through the peak period of December – February. Large group bookings (20+) can be arrange from March.
